In this series of short videos, I stumbled into a new phase of working. As with the solo On it (2012), I wanted to make the most of a perceived limitation: proscenium stages, studio spaces, and conventional rehearsal processes had led me to the end of my inventiveness as a dancemaker. Disregarding external viewership and compositional 'rules' entirely, these brief games and sketches emerged from my first sustained look into process and personal inquiry--rather than the assumed comforts and conventions of concert dance--as my material of choice. In confining myself to my room, I found abundance everywhere I turned.
